Join Mary-Heather for this 2-hour class which starts off with soft yin postures and finishes with yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is a state of consciousness that lies between waking and sleeping that is induced by a guided meditation. You will be consciously aware of your surroundings but the body is completely relaxed while concentrating on a single focus – the sound of the instructor’s voice.
The other senses are internalized or withdrawn. The goal is a state of meditative consciousness otherwise called samadhi.
Yoga nidra can also help to relieve stress and help with sleeping.
