Reflexology 🫶

February 18, 2026 - May 28, 2026 12:00-3:00 pm $80+HST Farida

Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, face, or ears. These points, known as reflex zones, are believed to correspond to various organs and systems of the body. The idea behind reflexology is that by stimulating these points, it can promote healing and improve overall health and well-being.

How Reflexology Works:

The practice is based on the concept that there are reflex points that mirror the organs and systems of the body.

Practitioners use techniques such as thumb, finger, and hand movements to apply pressure to these reflex points, which helps restore balance and support healing in the body.

Benefits of Reflexology:

  1. Stress Relief and Relaxation:
Reflexology is often used for its relaxing effects. By targeting specific pressure points, it can help reduce stress, promote relaxation, and induce a sense of calm.
  2. Improved Circulation:
Reflexology may help enhance blood circulation, allowing for more efficient oxygen and nutrient delivery throughout the body. This can support better overall health and faster healing of injured tissues.
  3. Pain Relief:
Many people report experiencing relief from chronic pain conditions like back pain, headaches, and arthritis. Reflexology stimulates the nervous system and reduce the intensity of pain through the release of endorphins, which are natural pain relievers.
  4. Increased Energy and Vitality:
By helping the body’s systems function more efficiently, reflexology boosts energy levels, reduce fatigue, and improve overall vitality.
  5. Improved Digestion:
Reflexology can aid digestion by stimulating reflex points related to the stomach, intestines, and other digestive organs. This can help with issues like constipation, bloating, and indigestion.
  6. Emotional and Mental Well-being:
Reflexology is also thought to support mental health by promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety and depression. The calming effect of a session can help clear the mind, improve mood, and provide emotional balance.
  7. Supports Immune Function:
Reflexology helps strengthen the immune system by promoting better circulation, reducing stress, and encouraging the body’s natural healing processes.
  8. Enhanced Sleep:
Regular reflexology sessions may contribute to better sleep by promoting relaxation and helping to manage stress levels. Many people find it beneficial for insomnia or disrupted sleep patterns.

 Keep in Mind

While reflexology can be relaxing and may provide benefits for general well-being, it’s not a replacement for medical treatment. It’s often used as a complementary therapy alongside other forms of care.

What is required by you

  • Comfortable Clothing: The client should wear clothes that can be adjusted to access their hands and feet. The client is fully dressed during the session.
  • Hygiene: Clean feet or hands are important since the reflexologist will be applying pressure to specific areas of the body through these extremities.  A warm foot soak is offered before a session.
  • Clear communication: Before beginning, a brief consultation with the client will typically take place to understand any specific concerns or conditions (e.g., stress, pain, digestion issues). The reflexologist will assess the client’s needs and any possible contraindications.

Workshop must be booked in the Student Portal.
