An in-depth study of yoga poses broken down by the following:
- English/Sanskrit name of the pose
- Spinal direction
- Primary and Secondary function-options to consider (blocks/straps/blankets)
- Benefits
This 4-week program will include some of the most common poses at a beginner/intermediate level.
An explanation will be provided in each class of all of the foregoing to allow students a more comprehensive understanding of each pose. Time available each week for Q&A and for students to demo each pose to experience how the pose feels in their respective bodies. Brief follow-up in the next class before moving on to the next set of poses. Approximately 4-6 poses per week.
Students should bring a journal and pen or iPad for notes.
