Compassion Practice for Self-Care 4-Week Series with Cindi Bates (January 13 to February 3)

Self-compassion in Yoga Practice & Meditation followed by compassionate conversations in community.

The overall goal is the promotion of individual and collective well-being through compassion practices, as well as the creation of group cohesion while respecting the rights and contributions of all members. Objectives include participants having an opportunity to: participate in varied yoga practices; learn specific compassion strategies and techniques; appreciate the benefits of compassion-focused meditation while encouraging an ongoing practice; and to value diversity in a collaborative learning, growing and engaging community setting.

Every Thursday

Open to a range of potential participants in terms of age, gender, and ethnicity. It is meant to appeal to adults in the community who are yoga practitioners who may feel isolated, lonely, or simply looking for an opportunity to engage in thoughtful discussion with peers, while exploring their own and others’ attitudes, and integrating compassion-related wisdom into their awareness.
