Free Anniversary Class: Yin with Mary-Heather

This class is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang – opposite and complementary principles in nature. Yin is the stable and passive aspect of a practice; yang is the changing and active side of a practice. In the body, the connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) is yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are yang.
These tissues are activated by gently stressing them and holding a yin pose for a period of time usually 3-5 minutes resulting in a longer and stronger body.
