Dance Fitness
Move your body, clear your mind, and reconnect with joy through this uplifting, barefoot dance fitness class known as Nia. Blending elements of dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts, these low-impact, easy-to-follow classes offer a full-body cardio workout while also improving flexibility, coordination, balance, mobility, and body awareness.
Classes are designed for every body — including those who think they “have two left feet.” There is no dance experience required and no pressure to perform or get the steps “right.” You are encouraged to move in your body’s way, adapting movements to suit your comfort level and fitness needs.
Beyond fitness, this class is a powerful way to release stress, regulate the nervous system, improve focus and brain-body connection, and leave feeling centered, grounded, energized, and joyful.
Each class begins with a brief intention-setting and grounding practice, followed by a warm-up, uplifting movement sequences, conditioning and flexibility work, cool down, floorplay, and a guided relaxation to restore body and mind. Expect soulful music, positive energy, and a welcoming community atmosphere where you can simply show up as you are.
Absolutely everyone is welcome.

Intro to Nia

Meet Natasha
I discovered the incredible practice of Nia in 2017 and instantly fell in love with the joyful blend of movement, music, mindfulness, and community. My body, mind, and spirit had been craving a movement practice that felt uplifting, nourishing, expressive, and healing — and I found it in Nia.
As a Holistic Nutritionist with a passion for whole-person wellness, I deeply value the mind-body connection and the importance of joyful movement for health and wellbeing. In 2019, I completed my intensive Nia White Belt training to deepen my practice and begin sharing it with others. The experience was transformative — not only physically, but emotionally and energetically as well.
Since then, Nia has become an important part of my life and has supported improvements in my energy, focus, strength, mobility, mood, and overall wellbeing. Most of all, it continues to leave me feeling grounded, centered, empowered, and joyful —and I love creating that experience for others in my classes.
Natasha Villeneuve is a Holistic Nutritionist, leader of The Natural Food Pantry Education Initiative, and a licensed Nia Blue Brown instructor.
